Ronald McDonald House
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa is proud to be home to the nation’s first-ever Ronald McDonald House located inside a hospital.
The Ronald McDonald House serves San Antonio families whose children are being treated for serious illnesses at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital. Families often stay long hours by their Children’s hospital beds. The personal and financial strain of sleeping in a nearby hotel can be cumbersome. The Ronald McDonald House helps families by providing the conveniences of home close to their children for a minimal cost.
The Ronald McDonald House at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa includes 10 bedrooms, a kitchen area, a living room, a laundry room and other living areas. Also, a special reflection room has been designated in honor of the three Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word who moved out of their homes at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa’s St. John’s Hall to make room for the Ronald McDonald House.
Because rooms at the Ronald McDonald House are limited, arrangements should be made in advance. Arrangements can be made through a social worker.
For more information on how to qualify for a room, call (210) 704-3840 or contact your social worker.
