Transport services

More than 800 neonatal and pediatric patients are transferred to our Children’s Hospital each year from a 90-county area and more than 50 local and regional hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. As a tertiary facility staffed by some of Texas’ leading specialists, our Children’s Hospital transports and cares for the majority of critical neonates, infants and children. Helicopters, fixed-wing aircrafts, or ambulances are utilized to facilitate rapid response. Physician consultation and transport teams are available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

Outreach Education: The Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Teams offer free outreach education to our referring facilities.
