NetResults Introduction
Physicians at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care are enjoying quicker, easier access to patient information thanks to a new Web-based electronic medical record (EMR) service called NetResults.
The NetResults Application
Through NetResults, users have 24-hour access to patient records (including lab, microbiology and radiology reports), medication profiles, transcribed reports and all inpatient and outpatient visits to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care. Information is accessed via the Internet through any computer that supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater.
NetResults is user-friendly, and very little training is needed to begin effectively using it. Plus there is no software to be downloaded.
NetResults provides a one-page summary covering several patients, as well as detailed information on a single patient. Other information provided includes "rounds," lists of hospitalized patients, room locations, face sheets for each patient, a list of all abnormal lab values, and lab results watch lists for selected patients. Physicians can also access reports for other physicians for whom they are covering (as long as they have authorized access).
This technology offers a variety of options to sort the data: by floor, nursing unit, facility, individual patients, inpatients or outpatients only, individual or multiple physicians, physician groups and types (such as primary care, admitting and attending). All reports can be printed from wherever NetResults is accessed.

- Patient Demographics and Insurance Information
- Laboratory, Microbiology, Blood Bank and Pathology Reports
- Medical Records Reports (H&P, Operative Report, Consult Report, etc.)

- Pharmacy Profile
- All information on NetResults can be easily printed. No special printer setup is needed.
- Includes ability to print a face-sheet for each patient.
- NetResults improves the productivity of physicians and their offices by:
- Providing on-demand access to patient clinical data to make care decisions
- Providing on-demand access to patient demographic and financial data necessary for billing
- Eliminating phone calls with CSRHC departments to obtain copies of reports
- NetResults is accessed via the Internet. No separate modem is needed.
- NetResults is available to any member of the CSRHC Medical Staff, and/or their office staff, at no cost.
- NetResults will work on any computer platform (Windows, Mac, etc.) that supports Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- No software (other than Microsoft Internet Explorer) is required on the PC.
- The physician must provide the computer and Internet access.
- Signing up for NetResults is easy and, because NetResults is designed to be user-friendly, training takes around 15 minutes and can usually be done over the phone.
