Inpatient Diabetes Care
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-Medical Center offers expert Inpatient Diabetes Care administered by dieticians, a certified diabetes educator and knowledgeable, registered nurses. We care for people at high risk for diabetes complications and who need to be hospitalized because of their illness.
Our team works with men and women recently diagnosed with diabetes or who suffer from uncontrolled diabetes or gestational diabetes. We help our patients control their diabetes through education, self-management education and support.
Additionally, our certified diabetes educator is a certified insulin pump trainer and can assist people with diabetes who only recently began taking insulin or are new to insulin pumps. Some of these patients include people with diabetic ketoacidosis, a hypersmolar hyperglycemic state or hypoglycemia.
Our experienced staff understands the special needs of hospitalized patients with diabetes. We work with doctor and nurses to ensure the highest quality of care.
