Transplant Institute
At the CHRISTUS Transplant Institute (CTI), we are committed to performing complex organ transplant services with excellent results. Our medical staff is experienced in several types of transplants.
Our kidney, heart, pancreas and heart/lung transplant programs are all approved by CMS-Medicare and United Network for Organ Sharing. In addition, the Texas Department of Health has approved CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care as a Medicaid Transplant Facility. From mid-July 1999 to December 2002, CTI performed 146 kidney and kidney/pancreas transplants, 43 heart transplants and one heart/double lung transplant.
We are continually adding new service areas to our transplant program. Today, our coverage area includes San Antonio, Victoria, Port Lavaca, Brownwood, San Angelo, Del Rio, New Braunfels, Eagle Pass, Laredo, Corpus Christi , Aransas Pass and Brownsville.
