Gifts of Life Insurance

Life insurance is a unique way to give. To qualify for a charitable deduction, our foundation must be named as both owner and beneficiary of the policy. If you have a policy that is paid in full, your charitable contribution will generally be the replacement value or cost basis of the policy, whichever is less. Ongoing premiums paid on a gifted life insurance policy also qualify for a charitable deduction. Very meaningful gifts can be made to support our programs by contributing a paid-up life insurance policy which ultimately will pay to our foundation as beneficiary an amount much greater than many donors could ever have imagined possible as a lifetime gift.
