Volunteer Opportunities
Individuals who would like the personal satisfaction of a hands-on experience in one of our hospitals are invited to consider volunteering some time each week. There are many opportunities to share your compassion and your talents in our Children’s Hospital and our adult hospital downtown as well as in our acute care or rehabilitation hospitals located on the Medical Center campus or in our hospice program.
Volunteer assignments can include working directly with patients or in nonpatient care areas of our hospitals. Many of our volunteers also become affiliated with one of our auxiliaries in their volunteer and fund-raising activities.
How to Volunteer
There are many volunteer opportunities at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health care. To volunteer you must be 18 years of age (volunteers ages 14 to 17 can take part in our summer program). If you are working with children, you must show proof that you have had a measles, mumps and rubella vaccine. We also require a tuberculosis test, two reference letters and a background check.
Volunteer opportunities are available in admitting, child life, nursery, gift shop, intensive care unit waiting rooms, surgery waiting rooms, medical records, the dental center, purchasing, emergency rooms and human resources.
